Tour of Janssen Biotech’s Manufacturing Facilities
I have the honor to be included in a tour of Janssen Biotech’s manufacturing facilities. I will be able to see with my own eyes how Remicade (and other drugs) are made!
Pretty cool.
I am looking forward to not only learning more about Remicade, biosimilars, and a host of other things but it also makes me happy to know I will be seeing some of my IBD family while I am there. It is amazing the bond so many of us share given our experiences that it is nice every once in a while to see these people in person. I am also excited to meet the head of Inflammatory Bowel Disease research there and just really anyone who has been involved.
As a patient, we usually only get to see one side of things. I am thankful that I have the opportunity to understand even more about what goes on with the medications we take, and also grasp what the process is like for pharmaceutical companies and physicians to get medications approved.
Will update about the trip soon!
I will also do my best to be on social media while I am there so be sure to follow me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
