Just a Dog?

The past few weeks have really led me to think more than ever about how truly invaluable my dogs have been to me. I have spoken about them before in two separate posts; A Descriptive Story About a Memory and  Wheezy, Daisy, Sadie, Marley- Phoebe but I wanted to give them a bit of a “shout out” today :)

My dogs have saved my life. This isn’t some dramatic statement, but rather the honest truth. The benefits that animals have on someone who suffers from a chronic illness, or anyone for that matter, is undeniable. I loved this post here Animals Help Hurting People with Chronic Illness and I hope you all will check it out whenever you have time.

even more reason to let you know we are getting a dog!! sometime after Oct 1.
Animals do have healing powers and I completely understand where you are coming from. I know your mom feels exactly the same way as you do. I continue to come across more and more people out there that are with you in your thinking

I never understood the relationship people had with dogs…until I got one about 3 years ago. I can’t imagine life without one now. They bring so much joy to a person and it is known that people with dogs live a longer life. Now I know that they aren’t “just a dog”, but they are a life.
